Growing up in Korea, artist Yuri Lee was heavily influenced by the
tremendous |
talents in her family. Her father was an opera singer, the
eldest brother is a professional |
pianist in New York and another brother is an artist still
living in Korea. Yuri studied |
at the Hansung Women's College in Pusan Korea, where her focus was
on painting |
the figure. In 1988, Yuri came to the United States
hoping to build a career as an |
artist. After years spending her time painting people in
Korea, where she enjoyed |
the closeness of common people Yuri extended that talent to
landscape painting which |
she finds is where her heart lies. "I only search for
beautiful scenery," Yuri explains, |
"because I believe that through my art I can impress and show
beauty to people". |
|
Yuri currently lives along the ocean in Southern California and
shows in local |
galleries. |
